I am a nationally recognized nurse scientist, educator, and community-engaged leader with extensive experience in nursing education, workforce development, and health equity initiatives. My professional work bridges academic scholarship, community-based training, and executive leadership.

With a PhD in Nursing and extensive experience in academia, I held faculty positions at institutions including Widener and Drexel University, the Community College of Philadelphia, and multiple other universities, where I taught nursing. I am also a passionate workforce development advocate, currently working to expand partnerships that provide healthcare vocational training to underprivileged individuals.

Professional Focus Areas

Healthcare Workforce Development

A dynamic speaker and mentor, I frequently share insights on healthcare careers, workforce development, and community health initiatives. Whether through live discussions, hands-on training workshops, or academic leadership, I continue to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Health Equity & Community-Engaged Research

My commitment to healthcare equity extends beyond the classroom. I served as the Cancer Care Companion Director at Lazarex Cancer Foundation, leading initiatives to improve cancer awareness, screening, and support within faith-based communities. My work with the Conquering Cancer Together project has strengthened access to healthcare in the West Philadelphia Promise Zone, breaking down barriers for those in need.

Organizational Leadership

I am a visionary leader, educator, and advocate for accessible healthcare education. As the Director, Founder, and CEO of the Cultural Institute of Health and Education (CIHE), I have dedicated my career to empowering individuals—particularly those in underserved communities—with the knowledge and skills needed to enter the healthcare workforce. Under my leadership, CIHE has helped hundreds of Philadelphians earn certification as phlebotomists and EKG technicians, opening doors to life-changing career opportunities.
